Content Creation: The Clarity Slap - The Write Idea

Content Creation: The Clarity Slap

By Renae Gregoire

The first time you work with a marketing writer and editor (like me), you may be in for a rude awakening -- like a slap in the face.

Not that I want to be rude.

In fact, I try to deliver bad news to my clients as gently a possible.

Bad news about your content might sound something like this:

  • Is that really what you mean to say?
  • Will your reader understand this concept?
  • I have no idea what you're trying to say here -- can you help?
  • Maybe I should take a stab at rewriting this for you?
  • This needs a LOT of work.

That's when this truth about Clarity,  in a quote from Shannon Alder, comes into play:

Clarity and focus doesn't always come from God or inspirational quotes. Usually, it takes your mother to slap the reality back into you.

I guess that means I'm like your mother.

I'm your content mother!

I look at your stuff and tell you what's wrong and where you're off.

And, because what mama doesn't want her child to succeed? -- I tell you how to fix it.

Sometimes, I even fix it for you.

So ... if you're interested in Clarity ... maybe we could work together in some way?

It's free. And it's NOT a hard-sell session.

I'm not that kind of person.

Who knows?

It could be that the Clarity you need is as close as the person who wrote this post!
